About Trekket – For Adventurers
Trekket is a financial technology company serving the adventure market with innovative solutions.
Trekket provides customers who purchase adventures, through our adventure retailers, with options to personalize payments to their individual budget and cash flow needs. That includes an installment layaway plan to allow them to afford more and spread payments over time with no interest or hidden fees. Customers pay for their purchase with an existing credit card, debit card or bank account through their secure customer portal.
Starting in early 2021, Trekket will begin expanding the number of adventure retailers, as well as access for new adventurer signups. Spots will be limited, so click here to get on our wait list and be the first to use Trekket in 2021.
- Make a purchase with one of our adventure retailers.
- Trekket sends you credentials so you can log into a secure customer portal to verify your purchase, accept retailer terms and conditions, and set up your payment method.
- Trekket securely charges your payment method until your balance is paid off according to the terms and conditions of your retailer agreement.
Note: You can check your payment status and view other information regarding your purchase at any time. Simply click ‘Log In’ at the top of the Trekket website.
At the time of purchase, your payment method will be charged according to the terms of the retailer. This may include an initial deposit to reserve the purchase, followed by one or more payments to pay off the remaining balance. Ask our adventure retailers about paying for your purchase with an installment layaway plan to purchase more and pay off your balance with smaller payments over time.
Note that your payment transaction will be labeled with both your retailer’s name and Trekket’s name to provide clear transparency on who your payment is going to even though Trekket is processing it.
Adventure retailers are able to accept payments from an existing credit card, debit card or bank account. Trekket accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.
Since Trekket works on your existing credit limit or bank account balance, there are no applications when purchasing with Trekket. There are also no application fees.
We don’t charge interest or late fees.
If you have a planned purchase and you want to make smaller payments, but your adventure retailer isn’t enrolled with Trekket, have them contact us at contact@trekket.com. We will take care of the rest.

There are a few requirements in order to start shopping with an adventure retailer through Trekket:
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Have a valid US or Canadian government I.D or passport
- Have a valid US or Canadian phone number that can receive texts
- Have a working email address
- Have a non-prepaid payment method available:
- For customers in the US, this can be a bank account, a debit card, or a credit card
- For customers in Canada, this can be a debit card or credit card
Safety
Yes. Trekket complies with all card operating standards.
We are PCI – DSS level 1 compliant and we use communication security technology (single-socket layer/ SSL), which means your information is securely encrypted to keep it safe.
